Halon 1211 (BCF) Fire Extinguishers are specially designed for heavy duty. Halon 1211 (BCF) is a liquefied gas which boils at very low temperature (-4°C) and attacks fire chemically by interfering with the combustion process. It is super-pressurised with dry nitrogen to provide a longer throw and powerful discharge. Halon 1211 (BCF) is quick acting, highly effective, leaves no trace, and remains effective even in places that are not easily accessible. Halon has low toxicity, but if used in confined areas, normal ventilation should follow after the fire has been extinguished.
Pressurized cylinders are made robustly, with bursting pressures well above average. Each cylinder is fully tested with compressed liquid during manufacturing. Cylinders are coated with electrostatic polyester powder and oven baked at 180°C for durability.
