BARE SHAFT FIRE PUMP

Specifications

• Volute type, axial inlet, single stage centrifugal pumps.
• Suction & discharge flanges conforming to PN16.
• Impellers are single suction, enclosed type.
• Axial thrust balanced by back steel ring and balancing holes.
• Pump shaft supported by two heavy duty 6300 Series bearings.

Standard Productions

• Casing material: cast iron; operating pressure: 12 Bars.
• Impellers: high-grade cast iron; impeller nut: brass.
• No casing wear rings at standard EXCEL production; sufficient material for repair wear rings.
• Shafts: C–1040 grade carbon steel; shaft sleeve not used at EXCEL version; shaft near stuffing box coated with hard chromium.
• Four rings of PTFE braid soft packing with a lantern ring after the first ring.
• Glands: bronze; gland studs and nuts: stainless steel.
• Bearings: oil lubricated with oil seals; oil level eye, filling and drain plugs made of plastic.
• Casing gasket: O-ring made of Nitride Rubber.

Fire Pump Controllers

Fire pump controllers automatically/manual control the electric main pump (duty), pressure drop (minor) make-up pump (jockey), and standby diesel pump. The diesel pump meets water demand in power failure conditions. Controllers include automatic circuits to start the diesel pump during pressure drops or power failure, with optional custom modifications.
